Asking the right questions is essential to making sure your chosen venue is the right fit for you! The following list was created to help you in your venue search. Not every single question will be applicable to every venue, but this list is a good place to start if you feel like you are having a hard time knowing what is important to ask.

What dates do you have available?

What is the venue’s max capacity? *We recommend having a lower guest count than the maximum capacity for guest comfort and event flow*

What are your rates? What is included in that cost?

How many hours of venue access are included?

Are additional rental hours available? If so, what is the cost of adding additional hours of venue access?

Are there accommodations on-site or nearby?

How far is the venue from the nearest airport?

What is the payment schedule?

Is an on-site ceremony rehearsal included in the rental cost?

Are there getting-ready suites for the wedding party?

What event insurance certifications are required?

Do you have preferred caterers or vendors?

Is there a fee to hire vendors outside of your preferred list?

Is there a catering kitchen available or are additional equipment rentals required?

What is the latest time our event can go?

Are there noise restrictions we should be aware of?

If the ceremony location is outdoors, what is the rain plan?

How many restrooms are available on site?

Is there flexibility for rental delivery and pickup outside of venue rental hours?

Are we able to rent items from other companies?
